Wellbeing through Work

Health & Wellbeing events at your workplace

No matter what the size of your business, promoting health and wellbeing practices can increase productivity and profitability.  As part of our strong health and wellbeing ethos, Rowlands Pharmacy has a dedicated Professional & Patient Services team that can provide tailored onsite health and wellbeing events to businesses. Our friendly team of health care advisors and/or Pharmacist will visit your workplace premises and deliver personalised health and wellbeing consultations for your staff.

A healthy workforce is imperative for your business.. The Health and wellbeing at work: a (national) survey of employees, 2014 conducted on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions identified that 32% of employees had a health condition in the last 12 months and having a supportive employer and discussing health conditions at an early stage were associated with being less likely to have had a period of more than two weeks off sick.1

At Rowlands Pharmacy, we believe that it is important for employers to address the issue of employee health, as failure to do so may prove very costly to your business.

What are the potential benefits of a health and wellbeing event for your business?

  • Reduced time off through illness
  • Improved performance
  • Increased employee morale through your provision of an event to benefit your employees
  • No need for time off, as health checks are conducted on site at your premises
  • Employee focussed consultations will support individuals to take a proactive approach to their health.
  • Follow up consultations can be offered at the employee’s nearest Rowlands Pharmacy

Don't ignore the facts!

We currently offer the following services :

We offer bespoke health events at a competitive cost to suit your business needs. We can also supply you with the following promotional materials before we attend.

  • Electronic poster to advertise the event to your staff using your internal communications
  • Professionally printed A3 posters for you to display in your business

What is involved?

  • We will set up our display stands in a suitable place on your premises for example in your staff canteen or a meeting room. We can operate a drop in clinic or appointment system so your employees can visit us at a convenient time for them whilst we are at your business.
  • The health check conducted is private and their details will not be shared with anyone else. After the event we will send you an anonymised event summary report. This will detail how many health checks were completed including a breakdown of male and females and how many of your employees we advised visit their GP.
  • Individual employee information will not be shared in line with the data protection act 1998.
  • Each employee will receive personalised feedback which will help them to fully understand their current health status. This incredibly valuable information about their health and wellbeing allows them to make informed decisions about their current lifestyle.
  • During 2016 we conducted over 1500 health checks with 109 clients needing a GP referral due to a high blood pressure or cholesterol reading that’s 14% of people who Rowlands have helped change their lifestyle from having a simple work based health check.
