This is a free NHS England service provided by your Rowlands Pharmacy team to help you understand your condition and get the most out of your new medicine.
This service is designed to help you take your new medicine(s) as recommended. This helps to ensure that medicines are not wasted and are as effective as possible for you.
The service will help you:
When you are given your new medicine(s), you will be asked if you want to sign up to this service:
You will be asked to sign a written consent form giving Rowlands Pharmacy permission for our pharmacist to contact you, we may also need to speak with your GP regarding your new medication.
After 7-14 days after you receive your medication our pharmacist will give you a call to see how you are getting on with the medication this will also give you an opportunity to ask any questions.
After 14-21 days a follow up call will be arranged again to ensure you are taken your medication as prescribed and give you the chance to ask any further questions you may have.
Both of these conversations can take place in the pharmacy in a private consultation room or over the telephone if this is more convenient. You will also be able to arrange these conversations for a time that suits you.
