Nicotinell patch is an aid to combat the withdrawal symptoms caused by giving up smoking.
Which patch do I need?
If you smoke more than 20 cigarettes per day, use Step 1 Nicotinell TTS 30 (21mg/24 hour) patches. If you smoke less than 20 cigarettes per day or you have completed Step 1, use Nicotinell TTS 20 (14mg/24 hour) patches. If you have completed Step 2, use Step 3 Nicotinell TTS 10 (7mg/24 hour) patches. Do not start the patch programme at Step 3.
You are more likely to quit smoking when using this product with help from your pharmacist, doctor, a trained counsellor, or a support programme.
If you need advice before starting to use nicotine patches, talk to your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.
Instructions for use
For adults and adolescents over 12 years of age. Read the enclosed instructions carefully before use. You must not smoke whilst using these patches. Apply one patch every 24 hours to a clean, dry, hairless area of skin. After 24 hours, use a new patch.
To dispose of used patches, fold in half sticky side inwards, before putting into a waste bin.
Consult with your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if: -You are pregnant or breast feeding, -You have or had any serious heart disease, -You have high blood pressure, angina or any blood vessel disorder, -You have had a stroke in the last 3 months, -You have a generalised skin disorder, -You are diabetic, -You have serious liver or kidney disease, -You have or had a stomach ulcer, -You have an overactive thyroid gland, -You are taking any other medication. For use in adults over 18 years. 24 hour patch. Do not exceed the stated dose. For external use only. If you have any other symptoms after using this product, consult your pharmacist or doctor.
