In conjunction with Primary Care Organisations, Rowlands is engaged in developing a range of enhanced services. These services are available only in certain locations around the UK. Services available in your local Rowlands Pharmacy can be checked by visiting the Local Pharmacy Finder. These include:

• Prison and Hospice Contracts.
• Mental Health Services - Contracts with Mental Health Trusts to provide an outpatient dispensing service including clozapine monitoring.
• Chlamydia Screening Service
• Asthma Clinics
• Heart Failure Clinics
• Anticoagulation Clinics
• Helicobacter Pylori “Test and treat” Service - Pilot involving H.pylori breath test and eradication therapy using patient group direction.
• Diagnostic Services DH Pilot - We are part of the DH pilot for “point of care testing in the high street” based in Greater Manchester SHA.
• Obesity and Weight Management/ Healthy Lifestyle Programme - Programme which can be tailored to link with Dieticians and Leads ensuring that the same messages and services are delivered through the pharmacy network as within GP practices and elsewhere.
• Men's “PITSTOP” Health Checks - Pilot to target men aged 50-65 years (who do not access GP services) to measure and record BMI, BP, total cholesterol, blood glucose, stretch test, breathing test. Uses risk assessment/lifestyle software programme as part of a high profile PCT marketing campaign. Referrals and healthy lifestyle concordance is included.
• LPS – Local Pharmaceutical Service - Innovative holistic medication management services based in “Well Being Centre” in a deprived area in Salford PCT which has attracted national attention. The site provides new integrated services, care and referral pathways.
