Local Services

To meet the needs of the local community and in conjunction with local Primary Care Organisations a range of services are available locally:

Minor Ailment Services

This is a service that allows a limited number of over the counter products to be prescribed by the locally accredited pharmacist.

Emergency Hormonal Contraception (The morning after pill)

Within some of our branches, emergency hormonal contraception is available free of charge following local protocols.

Substance Misuse / Harm Reduction Services

Services included are supervised methadone consumption, instalment dispensing and needle exchange schemes. As partners in shared care schemes with Primary Care Organisations and Drug and Alcohol Teams (DAT) nationally, we provide services to clients in premises that have been purpose-built and provide discreet and private areas.

Stop Smoking Clinics

Many of our pharmacies offer services to help stop smoking. These range from voucher schemes to complete consulting services.

Medicines Management Services

If customers are having difficulty in taking their medicines we offer a range of services such as reminder charts that can aid compliance.
