Flomax Relief should only be used by men aged 45-75.
DUE TO COMPANY GUIDELINES; INITIALLY ONLY A 14 DAY COURSE OF FLOMAX CAN BE DISPENSED.
Before taking Flomax you should inform your doctor or the pharmacist of any of the following medical conditions which apply.
Kidney or liver problems.
History of low blood pressure.
Allergies to sulfa or any other medicines.
If you are planning to have cataract surgery.
If you are taking any prescription medicines including blood pressure medicines.
If you are taking any non-prescription medicines, including vitamins abd herbal supplements.
If you are using Flomax for the first time and you have not got any better after 2 weeks, or if you get worse, you must stop taking this medicine and ask your pharmacist or doctor for further advice.
You should see your doctor within 6 weeks of starting treatment to confirm that your symptoms are due to BPH (benign prostatic hyperpasia)
The Pharmacist will assess your suitability for initial supplies of Flomax Relief using a structured customer Symptoms-check Questionnaire. They will only be able to make an initial 2 week supply of Flomax Relief, and you will be advise to see your GP within 6 weeks to confirm that your GP is happy for you to continue taking Flomax Relief.
