The government has talked about changing the drink drive limit int he UK, lowering the alcohol limit to bring it in-line with the majority of the European Countries at 0.5% BAC. At present (July 2007) the UK drink drive limit is 0.8% BAC and this is the point at which the Alcosense breathalyzer is set to alert the user. Should the UK drink drive limit change you will still be able to continue to use your Alcosense breathalyser as it displays your level of intoxication from zero to 1.5% BAC in increments of 0.01% BAC. You must however be aware that it will still alert you not to drive at 0.8% BAC. Should you wish to have the Alcosense alert level differently, you can send the unit back to the company.
